FORMER POLICEMAN, SENATOR KEN STOLLE, AND EMT DAYTON HAUGH, ESQUIRE, JOIN THE VIRGINIA PUBLIC SAFETY FOUNDATION’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ever striving to increase the diversity of its Board of Directors, The Virginia Public Safety Foundation, has increased its scope by adding EMT Dayton Haugh, Esq., and state Senator Ken Stolle. With a mission to support public safety officers and their families across the state, VPSF actively cultivates the views and input of Virginia’s public servants.

Senator Ken Stolle has been representing the eighth Senate District of the Virginia Beach area for over 15 years. An avid supporter and advocate of issues concerning public safety, Senator Stolle is the only member of the Senate who was a police officer. Serving with the Virginia Beach Police Department from 1976 until 1987, Stolle was a Narcotics Detective, SWAT Team Sergeant and Tactical Team Sergeant.

Bringing this experience to the Board, Mr. Stolle is very excited to serve, "It is an honor to be selected to serve on the Public Safety Foundation Board. I have dedicated my entire adult life to public safety, first as a police officer, then as an attorney and now as a legislator. I am excited to assist the Foundation in furthering its commitment to helping those individuals who put their lives on the line everyday for our safety and security,” said Senator Stolle.

EMTs are on the job every day – and Dayton Haugh, Esquire, with Haugh & Haugh, P.C. in Charlottesville, is one of the best. Lawyer and EMT, Haugh is also an instructor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health; and the Department of Fire Programs. “This Foundation serves a meaningful role in the community and as an EMT, I’ve seen the tragedies that can befall families. I’m honored to be a part of VPSF and the invaluable help it provides,” said Mr. Haugh.

The President of VPSF, Julien Patterson, anticipates a bright future. “The exciting addition of Senator Stolle and Dayton Haugh to the Board is another major step forward in increasing the Board’s ability to support the families of fallen public safety officers. Their talent, experience and knowledge, will compliment the Board’s ability to, ‘Support Those Who Serve Us,’ in a fast paced constantly changing world,” said Patterson.
